THE TEMPEST
PRESTON PLAYHOUSE
Romance, revenge and redemption meet in Shakespeare’s final play – a desert island comedy like no other.
A storm at sea brings Prospero’s enemies to her enchanted island: those who stole her crown are now at her mercy. But what will they make of this strange land? And how will Prospero and her daughter Miranda fare after years of isolation? “Oh brave new world that has such people in it” Shakespeare’s final play is brought thrillingly to life by 3rd UCLan Acting degree students in a funny, magical production. Fantastical characters like Ariel, Prospero and Caliban rub shoulders with young Miranda and Ferdinand, falling in love for the first time, making The Tempest an ideal introduction to Shakespeare for children, young people, families…everyone.
