DANGEROUS CORNER
PRESTON PLAYHOUSE
It’s the divinely decadent 1930’s in England.
At their ideal country retreat a group of friends meet to eat, drink and entertain one another. It’s a perfect night. But the evening quickly turns into a night of anguish and tragedy as the façade of their perfect lives begins to disintegrate and their darkest secrets begin to be revealed. J.B Priestly, as in his most famous work An Inspector Calls turns a dinner party on it’s head, in an early theatrical experiment with Time, when a chance comment by one of the group leads to dark revelations that were better left uncovered. This production is part of a short season of plays by UCLan’s BA (Hons) Acting’s Graduating Class of 2021 at Preston Playhouse. Warning: This production contains smoking on stage and some views which maybe seen as outdated by today’s audiences.
