ANGELS IN AMERICA
ANGELS IN AMERICA
PRESTON PLAYHOUSE
Set in 1980’s New York against a backdrop of right wing politics and an escalating AIDS pandemic.
Angels in America has resonance for all of us exploring timeless dramatic themes of life, death and faith in a story of two very different but equally troubled young couples whose lives become intrinsically linked by a series of unexpected revelations, events and enforced changes. We all face change and transformation throughout our lives, this can be difficult, often painful and almost always involves uncertainty and the unknown. Kushner’s epic tells us that we are all capable of facing great changes in our lives and that we should do so with a sense of grace and humour. This production launches this short season of UCLan’s BA (Hons) Acting’s Graduating Class of 2021 and marks the return of live theatre to The Preston Playhouse.
